FujifilmDry chemistry analysers

FUJI DRI-CHEM analysers measure clinical chemistry tests from dry slides. No water connection is needed, most tests require no calibration, and results are ready in a few minutes.

Products

Fujifilm has developed dry chemistry analysers since 1984, and the technology comes from photographic film manufacturing. Each slide contains the dry reagents for one test, and lot-to-lot differences are corrected with the QC card in the pack, so most tests need no calibration.

DRI-CHEM analysers are used in clinics, hospital laboratories and veterinary clinics. They run on ordinary mains power without a water connection or exhaust ventilation. We supply, install and service Fujifilm analysers. If you are interested, request a quote.

Why dry chemistry

  • No water connection.

The analyser runs on ordinary mains power without a water connection, compressed air or exhaust ventilation. According to Fujifilm, it can also be used when the water supply is cut off.

  • No calibration.

Lot-to-lot differences between slides are corrected with the QC card in the pack, so no calibration is needed. The exception is CRP, which is calibrated separately.

  • Small sample volume.

A colorimetric test needs 10 µl of sample, and small samples can be pipetted by hand, for example from newborns.

Frequently asked questions

If you cannot find an answer, call +358 10 841 1600 or email asiakaspalvelu@diagnostica.fi.

Does the analyser need a water connection?

No. DRI-CHEM analysers run on ordinary mains power without a water connection, compressed air or exhaust ventilation.

Do the tests have to be calibrated?

No, except for CRP. Lot-to-lot differences between slides are corrected with the QC card in the pack. Electrolytes need neither calibration nor correction.

What is the difference between the NX600 and the NX700?

The NX600 measures one sample at a time, up to 128 tests per hour. The NX700 can be loaded with five samples in one run and measures up to 190 tests per hour. The test menu is the same.

Are the slides suitable for veterinary use?

The veterinary analysers (NX600V and NX700V) mostly use the same slides. The canine CRP, lipase and amylase slides are made for veterinary use; the other slides are made for analysing human blood, so results may vary by species.

Can the analyser be connected to an information system?

The NX600 and NX700 connect via RS-232C, USB or LAN, and they support the HL7 standard.

Do you install the analyser and train the users?

Yes. We deliver the analyser installed, train the users and service the instrument.

What do the analyser and slides cost?

We provide prices in our quote. Tell us which tests you need and in what volumes, and we will put together a quote.
