RandoxQuality control and clinical chemistry

Acusera controls from Randox monitor assay accuracy independently of the analyser. Randox also manufactures the RX series clinical chemistry analysers and speciality reagents.

Products

Randox Laboratories is a diagnostics manufacturer founded in Northern Ireland in 1982. Its Acusera controls are third-party controls: they are manufactured independently of the instrument manufacturer, so they give an unbiased picture of how the analyser and assays are performing.

The range also includes the RX series clinical chemistry analysers and speciality reagents such as lipoprotein (a), NEFA, D-3-hydroxybutyrate and soluble transferrin receptor (sTfR). We supply Randox controls, reagents and RX analysers in Finland. If you are interested, request a quote.

Why third-party controls

  • Independent assessment.

Because Acusera controls are not the instrument manufacturer's own, they can reveal problems that the manufacturer's controls miss.

  • One control, many instruments.

Target values are assigned by method, instrument and temperature, so the same control can be used on different analysers.

  • Comparison with other laboratories.

The Acusera 24•7 cloud service collects control results and compares them in real time with other laboratories using the same control.

We install, train and service.

The same specialist handles commissioning and is still there for service years later.

Frequently asked questions

If you cannot find an answer, call +358 10 841 1600 or email asiakaspalvelu@diagnostica.fi.

What does third-party control mean?

The control is manufactured independently of the analyser and reagent manufacturer, so it assesses assay performance without bias.

Are Acusera controls suitable for our analyser?

Acusera target values have been assigned for a wide range of clinical chemistry analysers. Tell us which analyser you use and we will check compatibility.

How stable are the controls?

The controls are stable until the expiry date at 2–8 °C. Once reconstituted, they are stable for 5–28 days depending on the product, and the liquid cystatin C control is stable for 30 days after opening. Details are on the product pages.

Do Randox reagents work on analysers from other manufacturers?

Yes. Randox has instrument-specific applications for its reagents on analysers from different manufacturers. Tell us which analyser you use and we will check availability.

How much do Randox products cost?

We provide prices in our quote. Tell us the products, levels and quantities you need and we will put together a quote.

Where can I get instructions for use and safety data sheets?

We supply instructions for use and safety data sheets on request.
