Reagents

Speciality reagents for less common assays, such as ketone bodies, red cell enzymes, oxalate and Lp(a), and DRI-CHEM slides.

Applications

Dry chemistry

NX600, NX700, NX600V and NX700V

DRI-CHEM slides contain all the reagents needed for one measurement in dry form, and lot-to-lot differences are corrected with the QC card supplied in the pack.

Stability and transport

Most Instruchemie kits are stable for four years from manufacture at +2…+8 °C. The exceptions are bile acids (1 year), lactate AUT (2 years), and manual lactate and the oxalate kits (3 years). The haemoglobin reagent and zinc AUT are stored at room temperature.

Instruchemie guarantees the stability of its products in transport for up to seven days at temperatures of no more than 30 °C. The products are CE marked under the IVD Directive 98/79/EC and will move to IVDR marking by 31 December 2029 at the latest.

Glossary

AUT

An Instruchemie kit version for automated determination.

Deproteinisation

Precipitation of proteins from the sample before the assay. The zinc AUT kit does not require it.

Lp(a) nmol/l

Lp(a) result expressed as a molar amount. According to Randox, calibration in nmol/l reduces the bias caused by apo(a) size.

QC card

A card in the DRI-CHEM slide pack that the analyser uses to correct lot-to-lot differences.

Frequently asked questions

If you cannot find an answer, call +358 10 841 1600 or email asiakaspalvelu@diagnostica.fi.

Is a calibrator included in the reagent kit?

Some kits include one and some do not. This is stated in the specifications of each product, and suitable calibrators and controls are listed under accessories on the product pages.

Will the reagents work on our analyser?

Instruchemie AUT kits are designed for automated determination, and Randox provides analyser-specific applications. Tell us your analyser model and we will check compatibility.

What is the difference between the Instruchemie and Trinity Biotech ACE, bile acid, G6PDH and oxalate kits?

They are kits from different manufacturers. For the Instruchemie kits, the product pages give the method, sample type, stability and controls. We provide the instructions for use for the Trinity Biotech kits on request.

How much do the reagents cost?

We provide prices in our quote. Tell us the assays and test volumes, and we will put together a quote.
