The Biosecure lid has needle removers for blood collection, butterfly, Luer and insulin pen needles. The container attaches by its handle to a wall, trolley, table or tray holder.

On-site treatment

Envomed 80 shreds and sterilises the waste. The liquid is discharged to the drain, and the solid fraction is disposed of with municipal waste in accordance with local regulations.

How Envomed 80 treats waste

According to the manufacturer, the treatment reaches STAATT level IV, i.e. a 6-log reduction, and reduces the waste volume by up to 80%. The active substances of the Biocetic sterilant are peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide.

Treatment data is stored in a cloud service, and biological and chemical indicators are available for regular validation testing. The unit treats sharps and infectious waste; it is not intended for pathological, radioactive or pharmaceutical waste.

Yellow Biogrip medical waste containers in three sizes in a hospital setting

Biogrip containers

Made of impact-resistant polypropylene, the container closes with 30 locking tabs. The lid can first be closed temporarily and then permanently, and the lid with a filling opening has a centre opening that opens separately.

The sizes are 30, 50 and 60 litres, with maximum loads of 15, 20 and 30 kg. The containers stack empty and full and can be autoclaved for 20 minutes at 121 °C before use.

Biosecure containers

Biosecure is a sharps container in eight sizes, 0.6–12 litres, with a maximum load of 0.4–5 kg depending on size. The needle removers in the lid take blood collection needles, butterfly needles, Luer and Luer lock needles and insulin pen needles.

During filling, the opening is closed temporarily with the flap, and clicks confirm the final closure. The fill line is visible from outside the container, and the container can be autoclaved for 20 minutes at 121 °C.
