Temperature mapping

Calibrated wireless loggers locate the warmest and coldest points in a cold room, storage area or medicine refrigerator. The mapping report is generated directly by the system.

How mapping works

  1. Assessment

    Measuring points

Send us a floor plan or tell us the number of measuring points. We estimate how many loggers the space needs.

  2. Delivery

    Loggers delivered

We deliver calibrated loggers, a receiver and login details for the SenseAnywhere cloud service.

  3. Measurement, usually one week

    Measurement period

The loggers are placed at the measuring points. Readings are visible in the cloud service throughout the period, so any deviation is noticed immediately.

  4. Report

    Mapping report

The report is generated from the system with a single click.

  5. Return

    Loggers returned

The loggers and the receiver are returned to us.

Mapping report

  • Warm, cold and stable pointsThe measuring points where the temperature was highest, lowest and most stable. These are the best places for continuous monitoring sensors.
  • MKT and limitsMean kinetic temperature and a pass or fail assessment against the limits you set.
  • Analysis and raw data per loggerResults for each measuring point separately.
  • Calibration certificatesThe loggers are calibrated in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. The authenticity of the report can be verified online.

When to map

New space
Before a temperature-controlled storage area, cold room or cabinet is put into service.
After changes
When shelving, cooling equipment or ventilation is changed.
Summer and winter
In extreme conditions, when the outdoor temperature puts the greatest load on the space.
At regular intervals
At the intervals required by your quality system or the authorities.

Frequently asked questions

If you cannot find an answer, call +358 10 841 1600 or email asiakaspalvelu@diagnostica.fi.

How many loggers does a space need?

It depends on the size and shape of the space, the shelving and the position of cooling equipment and doors. We estimate the number from a floor plan or a description of the measuring points before quoting.

How long should the measurement period be?

Usually one week, which covers door openings on weekdays and the quieter weekend. The length can be agreed to suit your quality system.

Can humidity be mapped at the same time?

Yes. With temperature and humidity loggers, the report also shows the distribution of relative humidity.

Can several spaces be mapped at once?

Yes. For example, a cold store and medicine refrigerators can be measured during the same period, with a separate report for each space.

Do the loggers need to be installed?

No. The loggers are calibrated in advance and start measuring immediately. They have no cables, settings or buttons.
