Sets and use
The levels have equally spaced concentrations, and the dilution scheme follows CLSI EP6. The set is not for calibration or standardisation. The general set K701M-5 covers electrolytes, enzymes, lipids, substrates, iron, TIBC and osmolality, and its package insert gives values for the Beckman AU480 and Roche cobas c501 analysers.
K880M-5 is designed for Roche clinical chemistry analysers and also includes pancreatic amylase. Roche bilirubin assays are verified with the separate set K886M-5. The general set does not contain bilirubin and cannot be used for Siemens Atellica ISE measurements.

Phosphate in the general set K701M-5 is stable for 24 hours once reconstituted. If any vial in the set freezes, discard the whole set. Do not use a cloudy diluent.
