Which model for which application
SRIL-8 is a single-use and TRIL-8 a reusable logger for packages cooled with dry ice. Both have an internal sensor and are rated for a total of 1.000 hours of exposure at −80 °C. TREL-8 measures down to −90 °C with an external ST10 probe, so the logger itself can stay outside the cold zone.
TRIL-16U (reusable) and SRIL-16U (single-use) measure down to −85 °C with an internal sensor. They have a USB-A connector: when the logger is connected to a computer, it creates PDF and CSV reports without software or a cradle. The TRIL-16U battery lasts for a total of 1.000 hours at −85 °C, the SRIL-16U battery for a dry ice shipment of about two weeks. Data can be transferred from LogTag Analyzer to the LogTag Online cloud service.
The loggers have no display: a green OK and a red ALERT indicator light show whether the set limit has been exceeded. The 8 series is read with the LTI-HID cradle and the free LogTag Analyzer software, which is also used to program the 16U models.

Dry ice is at −78.5 °C. SRIL-8 and TRIL-8 measure down to −80 °C with an internal sensor, TRIL-16U and SRIL-16U down to −85 °C, and TREL-8 measures down to −90 °C with an external ST10 probe, provided the logger housing stays within −20…+40 °C.
